Saturn is one of America's newest car companies, created through a unique partnership between General Motors and the UAW — formed as a wholly owned subsidiary of General Motors in 1985.
Saturn Corporation entered the automotive market in 1990, bringing a new level of customer service to automotive retailing. Saturn's first products — the compact SL sedan, SW wagon and SC coupe — featured innovations such as spaceframe construction and dent resistant polymer body panels. Saturn recently introduced the world's first and only three-door coupe, followed in 1999 by a new line of mid-size cars, the L-Series.
Saturn and its retailers share a strong focus on customer service, a focus that is an integral part of Saturn's e-commerce initiatives.
Over the years, we have sold more than 2.2 million vehicles, valued at more than twenty billion dollars.
7,800 skilled and experienced team members in Spring Hill, Tennessee, build Saturn S-Series sedans, station wagons and coupes. And, every five years, more than 40,000 Saturn owners will visit Spring Hill, most of them for our annual Homecoming.
2,600 experienced and skilled team members build Saturn L-Series sedans and wagons in our plant in Wilmington, Delaware.
